Diet update – Week 5

I’ve lost 3lbs this week.

Very proud of myself this week for reaching a couple of the milestones I’ve set myself! I’ve almost lost 1 stone, but my first milestone was to be under 16st (224lbs) which I hit in the week. So I’m making good, steady progress so far! My next milestone is 15st 7lbs (217lbs) and I think I’m going to set a realistic target of 6 weeks to hit that. If I lose another 1lbs I’d have lost a stone. I’ll definitely hit that next week!

I also set myself a distance challenge of being able to run for 1 Mile continuously. I originally said 1Km, but I just kept on running! I’m going to try again on Monday to make sure it wasn’t a fluke!

I know the plateau is coming and it’s usually around this time that I give up. I tried about a year ago and reached this point and then gave up. I’ve lost a lot of weight very quickly and I’m still motivated to lose more, but I know that when it starts to slow down I get really down heartened and feel like I’m getting nowhere. I desperately hope that doesn’t happen this time. My Brother and I have a deal that if one of us starts to lose motivation, we’ll kick each other’s arse to get back on it. Last weekend was my turn to kick his. I’ll need him to kick mine when I lose my motivation.

I think I’m going to have a big treat this week for reaching my milestone. Either a pizza or a kebab

I found this picture in the week which shows my diet progress a few years ago. I think this was only a short lived diet and even then I think that was the lightest I’ve been in a long long while! I’m not far off that now!
